As one of the fastest growing crimes in the UK, Identity Fraud costs the economy £1.7b each year according to a Home Office study, yet many people remain complacent when throwing away private documents, placing themsleves, their customers and their businesses in unnecessary danger.

Since Fellowes launched the very first National Identity Fraud Prevention Week in 2005, the campaign has grown from strength to strength. It has gained increasing support from organisations such as the Royal Mail and the Federation of Small Businesses and has achieved extensive media exposure across the UK.
