National Identity Fraud Preventation Week - 8-14 October 2007

8-14 October 2007 is set to be a special week as key organisations from the public and private sectors will join forces with Fellowes to focus energies on raising awareness of identity fraud for the 3rd annual National Identity Fraud Prevention Week. As one of the fastest growing crimes in the UK, Identity Fraud costs the economy £1.7b each year according to a Home Office study, yet many people remain complacent when throwing away private documents, placing themsleves, their customers and their businesses in unnecessary danger.

The aim of National Identity Fraud Prevention Week is to help you, your customers and your business to beat identity thieves at home and at work by leading a high profile media campaign backed by a range of support tools. these include an on-line identity theft check, identity theft prevention guide and practical tips and hints to help you stay safe.

Since Fellowes launched the very first National Identity Fraud Prevention Week in 2005, the campaign has grown from strength to strength. It has gained increasing support from organisations such as the Royal Mail and the Federation of Small Businesses and has achieved extensive media exposure across the UK.

The official National Identity Fraud Prevention Week website is coming soon: http://www.stop-idfraud.co.uk/ but in the meantime, checkout our full range of shredders that we have listed by manufacturer such as Fellowes shredders, Rexel shredders and Swordfish shredders at the Index Office website.
